A warm hello, and I’m wishing that yourself and loved ones are safe and well during these difficult times.
Today would have been the beginning of Norfolk Open Studios, I have fond memories of meeting some of you last year. This year Norfolk Open Studios has gone online, so do head over to check out Artists Studio Tours, Demonstrations, and Beautiful Art Work.
As part of Norfolk Online Open Studios, on my Instastgram and Twitter page, I will be sharing work from my last Masters Module. I am studying Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. I’ve been spending my time during the lock down, developing a Children’s Story for my Sequential Image Project.
Before lock down, I was spending time at an Inter-generational Learning Project, doing Observational Drawing of the younger and older friends. Exploring memories in my Art Practice of my Grandparents led me to develop a story between a Grandparent and Granchild to incorporate my own ideas and my experience from Observational Drawing. I witnessed how the children adapted to their older friends and grew from their wisdom. And how the older friends came to life through the children’s playful energy.
Over the next couple of weeks I will be sharing the illustrations I made on my social media, including some that will be for sale on my Etsy shop.
