In September 2017, I started studying a Postgraduate Programme in Creative Practice with Artpocket UK, an independant Art School based in Norwich. The course is run by tutor Becky Tough who previously taught at Norwich City College. These images above are work I have created in the first term, using Collage and pencil rubbing, and exhibited in December for Artpocket’s Winter Exhibition. We made work inspired by the film, ‘All about my Mother’, by director Pedro Almodova. My work explores a narrative about the adoption of my Mother, with a sense of a missing story, and how she created her own story when she had her own family.

Today I took part in the wonderful Greyfriars Art Space Festival in King Lynn, which included lots of Art stalls, live music and poetry readings.
I showcased a new mixed media piece that had a social, environmental context. The pressed flowers are fragile and the laminate protects them. Linking them expresses how we all need to come together to protect our world.
I will be developing this installation further, so watch this space.
I have been working on a new painting series, an experimental project, to help me approach making art in a different way. I usually make work and title them afterwards. Here I have used song titles as the names of the paintings as a starting point to inspire what the pieces will be about.
To see the paintings individually with their titles, please go to the Paintings page above.
These paintings will be exhibited with Artist group ‘Making Space’ at EPIC Studios on 114 Magdalen Street, Norwich, until October 2011.
I have created this Sculpture as part of an environmental project called ‘TRASH UP’. Artists from all over the world are creating art from the Trash that is washed up on our beaches to bring awareness of littering along our coastlines. I wanted to use the material I collected from the beach to create something for use again on the beach, this is the Trash Blanket, rubbish that is now useful. The Project is being undertaken in Sandefjord, Norway and I am participating Internationally. My Sculpture will be exhibited along side other artists work at the local art gallery Sandefjord Kunstforening from 25th June – 31st July 2011. Photographs taken at Wells-Next-The-Sea Beach in Norfolk, UK.
