TRASH UP!

I have created this Sculpture as part of an environmental project called ‘TRASH UP’. Artists from all over the world are creating art from the Trash that is washed up on our beaches to bring awareness of littering along our coastlines. I wanted to use the material I collected from the beach to create something for use again on the beach, this is the Trash Blanket, rubbish that is now useful.   The Project is being undertaken in Sandefjord, Norway and I am participating Internationally. My Sculpture will be exhibited along side other artists work at the local art gallery Sandefjord Kunstforening from 25th June – 31st July 2011. Photographs taken at Wells-Next-The-Sea Beach in Norfolk, UK.

Awesome! Thank you so much for contributing to the project! I was proud to tell visitors that we had art sent over from the UK. 🙂 Cheers, Kari. (Creative director for TRASH UP.)

    1. No problem Kari, I loved making the work 🙂 It has really influenced my practice! I have been developing a new concept that is environmental by pressing flowers.
