Children’s Picture Book Summer School

This summer I attended the most wonderful Summer School with the Cambridge School of Art at Anglia Ruskin, spending a week developing a Children’s Picture dummy Book. We had amazing lectures giving us insight into the Picture book Industry and how to develop our Picture books. Lectures included Character Development and the relationship between text and image, with tutorials from Children’s book illustrators and students who had graduated from the MA in Children’s book illustration.

I came away feeling very inspired by the passion and energy that was created during that week, and had a deeper insight into the importance of observational drawing, which has always been a great love of mine.

I am very grateful to have secured a space on the Children’s Book Illustration MA at Anglia Ruskin starting September 2019!

Here’s a few pages from my dummy book.
